The German Humanitarian Foundation enables children from poor families to attend school through child sponsorships. It has projects in the Philippines, Mexico and Georgia. There are around 800 sponsors who support 250 sponsored children.

Give Directly is a non-profit organization that provides direct cash donations to people living in poverty. The organization enables donors to send money directly to the poorest households in the world.

Eden Projects works with local communities to restore forests on a massive scale, thereby creating jobs, protecting ecosystems, and helping mitigate climate change.

Target works to abolish female genital mutilation worldwide while protecting indigenous people.

Dear Burma

Dear Burma helps Burmese adults and children integrate smoothly into their communities and workplaces in Thailand. The school improves the lives of more than 1,000 students (and counting) each semester.

Libassa Wildlife Sanctuary

We support the wildlife rescue center in Liberia, which houses various species of wildlife. The station is an officially registered NGO. The center cares for confiscated wild animals that were kept as pets or intended for consumption (bushmeat).

If possible, the animals are released back into the wild. But the station takes care of some for life. The Wildlife Rescue Center also protects the turtles’ nesting sites and guides the hatchlings back to the Atlantic Ocean.

Christoph paid a visit to the shelter in 2021 and was amazed by the work the team is doing there.

22stars Foundation

22stars is dedicated to empowering families in Uganda to rise above poverty through education, entrepreneurship and local leadership. We at denationalize.me would like to support that.

The organization doesn’t just focus on a specific cause or group, like ‘girls’ or ‘clean water’, but on the community as a whole, as 22Stars believes everything is connected.

According to 22Stars, the donation will be used for the children’s education. Due to covid, the students had to follow school lessons from home. However, many do not have the technical means to take part in the lessons.

Technical means, such as a computer, can pave the way for the children to be more self-reliant, independent and have access to a world outside their village, which in turn can open up new career prospects.

Christoph has had a godchild for years, whom he not only supports financially but also maintains personal contact with.

Tierra Bonita

denationalize.me wants to support the people on La Palma who have lost their homes and often their entire livelihood due to the volcanic eruption.

On September 19, 2021, the Cumbre Vieja volcano erupted. To this day, this spews lava that destroys houses, plantations and everything else that is on the way to the sea. The island has 80,000 residents. 7000 people had to leave their homes and about 1200 houses are already buried under the lava.

The Tierra Bonita organization is collecting donations for local people whose homes have been swallowed by the lava or collapsed under the weight of the ash.

Christoph is a big La Palma fan and even considered buying a property there. Right now he’s glad he decided against it. However, the fascination and the connection to this beautiful spot on earth are still there and that is why he would like to support the locals in this difficult time.
