The Staatenlos Catamaran
While others despaired at home during the pandemic, denationalize.me used the crisis as an opportunity to take another step towards comprehensive freedom by buying a catamaran in Croatia June 2020. We would like to introduce the boat, of course with the name “Staatenlos” (Stateless):
- Manufactured by the popular French shipyard “Lagoon” in Bordeaux
- The catamaran measures 11.6m, is 6.6m wide and has a draft of only 1.15m
- Completely self-sufficient with a seawater desalination plant and solar panels
- Thanks to the Google Fi SIM card that can be used worldwide
- In addition, a satellite phone offers security and accessibility even on the high seas

The Crew
In addition to temporary workers, we have two permanent crew members on board at all times:
Josh: Our Skipper
Josh left Germany at the age of 18, sailed in Latin America for many years, and completed an internship at denationalize.me in 2019. You can already see here: There could not be a more suitable skipper for the SY Staatenlos. He knows the catamaran very well and does almost all repairs himself. He also loves to prepare delicious Asian dishes on board.
Chicken:
Born only in February 2021, Chicken has of course spent most of her life on the water, exploring the world by sea. From time to time, Chicken joins Josh on his land trips to a country or they go to the beach together. Every 2-3 days Chicken reciprocates with an egg.
